Is it illegal to get fired for going on vacation?

All my shifts at work was cut this week and im pretty sure he is going to fire me because I informed him that I was going on vacation. I have been working there for one month and I informed him twelve days before I go away. is this illegal to do? ami I able to sue him with the combination that I get no breaks? I work part time at a coffee shop.
