Legal question concerning a racial comment?

this is a legal question-while entering a nationally known amusement park recently, the security guard insulted my wife by asking if she was Mexican(she is not)-he stated to her, and I quote" hey, if you looking for work in the employee cafeteria, dont forget your papers." Im sure he was joking, but we were very offended. I have his 1st name +description+ some part of badge#. Park has not responded to my letter asking for apology. Thats all I wanted orig. Now a friend who IS NOT a lawyer told me I could get $$$ with my apology since they ignored me. What should I do next?. I have no witnesses other than my wife and small children. He could deny it, I know, but he should not be allowed to get away with this.
