Anyone know how to get over a girl?

I recently posted a question askin about me and my ex's situation. I took the advice of one of the answeres and it was very good advice and I am so glad i listened ! Since then i begged my her back and she had none of it but she still wants to be friends but we are not speakin just now. I cant avoid being her friend as we hang out with each others friends alot so I will see her, is there anyway to get over her without the "no contact" rule? she is my first love and i am pretty lost.
