Afterall, if many people who say they're religious just do this b/c they don't want to put up with all the B.S. of leaving (social ridicule, break up with spouse, beheading) then maybe most so called 'theists' are really just in the closet atheists. As for the response of 'well, most atheists are really theists who believe but are trying to look cool', sure, most atheists believe in God but we're so incredibly brave that we're not afraid of hell.
