How/will we ever travel to Alpha Centauri / Proxima Centauri Star? Is the Nuclear Orion project real ?

The Orion project was a theoretical idea back in the 1950s. Unfortunately, due to international treaties against atmospheric nuclear explosions, it's not likely at all to happen nowadays.
