What can my fiance do he doesnt have a cosigner?

Apparently my fiance needs a cosigner for his loan. He asked me but I told him I was uncomfortable doing it. My dad helps me with my loans and I am not working, to sign that it just gives me a bad feeling and I dont want to have to pay back on something....especially when I will still be in school and my fiance graduates. Anyways his dad is a deadbeat and he promised to sign his loan its been a month. We start back on Monday. My fiance is upset at him but also is sad because I dont want to sign it. What can he do??
