Why is Eric Clapton's song "Cocaine" not censored on the radio, but drug references in rap songs are?
Eric Clapton is iconic, he is a mega-star in the guitar world and blues world. The song Cocaine is a clic song, though I understand what you're saying, from that standpoint, unless there was profanity, the songs are usually left alone. Whereas newer artists, are not clic, they're a drop in the bucket where they are now, so they have to be bound by censorship rules etc. I personally don't agree with any musical censorship, but then I can't stand rap music either so there you go. Not to mention in the bit of rap I have heard, they're usually referring to Cocaine in lieu of drug deals and inciting people to become dealers, which in that regard is wrong. Of course you're actually expecting something our government does to make sense, which is a joke in and of itself.
